It's that time of year where we all hop on some wagon and make some resolution to change our lives for the better. I do the same thing every single year, lose weight and exercise. Well this year is gonna be different for me..this year I am going to resolve to make myself healthy, both physically and emotionally. My life for the past 6 years has been a roller coaster. This year I am going to leave the past in the past and empty out the closet of demons I have carried around.
When it comes to losing weight, I have tried everything. I am all about a quick fix, however I am engrossed in a great book right now, it's called In Defense of Food. What an amazing read, what a wonderful concept! ![]()
So no diet's for me this year, no low fat foods, no lean cusines..how about just food..good food that isn't processed. Sounds simple right...it is and it should be. I'm all about gettin back to the basics. So if you are hoping on a bandwagon in 2009, make a point to read this book and really change your life not just make a resolution.

I am so excited to read this book. I have been trying to eat better and I feel great when I really do it. Thanks for the book idea.
It really is a must read if you are thinking about getting healthy. The way our food has changed over the last 100 years is scary...and the effects the processing of food is taking our health should scare us all.
ok OK I'll read the book can you bring it with you when you are done and I'll read. I'm all about eating healthy food. This was my resolution too. EAT HEALTHY. Teach Liv to eat healthy. So I'm game.
Also just as a side note. I won't be eating anything with more than 50 spoons of salt either.
Your welcome to borrow it..really it's just about eating more fruits and vegetables that are grown organically...I feel the same way because the way our children eat, their children will eat are based on what we as mother's teach them. Mom's play a huge part in this...
I'm in! I need to do it for me and my family. My uncle just passed away tonight from a heart attack. I am sick about it. He was 60 years old.
Hmm, I'll have to check this one out. I hope it's written interestingly. Most diet books are pretty dry. I tried to get through Dr. Oz's YOU ON A DIET and just couldn't finish it. I like the title of this book though, so that alone gives me hope for the rest of the book.
