I work for a great company and every year they do a summer party for all of our families. This year it was at the zoo. Salem had a blast, the zoo keepers came in and did an animal show. She must have got her love for animals from her dad because I was freaked out.
Yes this is an armadillo, not only do they have scales but hair as well. Possibly one of the ugliest creatures in the world.
We learned that possums can live anywhere and will eat anything. They also have huge claws and fangs. According to the zoo keeper this possum was getting irritated. I was pretty sure it was going to attack one of the kids and mistake their face for a free lunch. By this point in the animal show I was in dire need of a drink or some zanax.
For my sanity I must have checked out at this point. This is some kind of lizard, it's ugly but Salem's face just makes me smile.
And last but not least...a snake, yes a snake. Salem's favorite part a freaking snake.
After the animal show waiting a half hour in ninety degrees for a four minute train ride was like heaven...

Good times - I HATE the zoo! It is so gross and dirty. I would never want to see an armadillo - gross. My brother-in-law ate armadillo on his mission. Uggh! Salem's face with the lizard is sweet.

Was the train ride four minutes? It seemed like 60 seconds. I had never been on the train and we took Ava about two weeks ago and I got her all excited for the train and then I was like Was that it? Oh well. I would have been freaking out too, especially after they tell you about the possum and it's...fangs, is that the word you used. Scary stuff.

You look awesome, how is boot camp going? I basically can't even pea right now without cussing because my legs are so sore! I guess that is the point
