We are going to see Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana tomorrow night at the Stadium of Fire. The show has been sold out and people are selling tickets for hundreds of dollars. I love Salem dearly and would do anything for her but dropping that kind of money on a show is not gonna happen. A guy at work happened to have 5 extra tickets that he was selling for what he paid...so Steve and I are taking Salem and her two friends Ellie and Riley to see the one and only Hannah Montana!!!
I am so excited to be finally doing a photo party! My friend Daina did these pictures of her daughter and I fell in love with them.
So I am going to have Ann (see her blog Anniemations) do a photo party on July 19th around 6 p.m. I will have the tutu's and some other accessories. The point of this is not to toot my own horn, but we have some robins who have decided to call my basket home!!
Now I am going to toot my own horn...we just finished week 5 of our 6 week boot camp. It has been a lot of hard work and a lot of fun. I have loved going with my friends and have really enjoyed the past 5 weeks. I haven't gotten on the scale since we started this process because I didn't want to get discouraged. Today we figured our body fat again and I have gone done 5%, yes 5 freaking percent...I am so stoked!!! I am honking that damn horn baby I have worked hard...we have all worked hard....WOOOHOO for Boot Camp!!!
Steve planned a date night tonight, he even arranged for the babysitter. I have to say that he went above and beyond. One thing I love about Steve is that he is always up for showing me new things. Growing up in Cache Valley there are so many places I haven't been and since he has been married before he tries really hard to find new and exciting places that we both have never been. Take tonight for instance, we had dinner at Snow Basin. We rode the gondola to the top of the mountain.
And we had dinner at Needle's Lodge
The food was wonderful, the view was fabulous, and the setting was so romantic. It was truly the perfect night...
I work for a great company and every year they do a summer party for all of our families. This year it was at the zoo. Salem had a blast, the zoo keepers came in and did an animal show. She must have got her love for animals from her dad because I was freaked out.
Yes this is an armadillo, not only do they have scales but hair as well. Possibly one of the ugliest creatures in the world.
We learned that possums can live anywhere and will eat anything. They also have huge claws and fangs. According to the zoo keeper this possum was getting irritated. I was pretty sure it was going to attack one of the kids and mistake their face for a free lunch. By this point in the animal show I was in dire need of a drink or some zanax.
For my sanity I must have checked out at this point. This is some kind of lizard, it's ugly but Salem's face just makes me smile.
And last but not least...a snake, yes a snake. Salem's favorite part a freaking snake.
After the animal show waiting a half hour in ninety degrees for a four minute train ride was like heaven...
Well my blog is a lot like my life, I get so busy with work and everything that before you know it weeks have gone by. The sad thing is that this happens in my relationship as well. Steve and I go and go and never really take some one on one time. So on Thursday we took off for Moab for a few days. Just us...we stayed at a wonderful bed & breakfast, did some hiking and enjoyed each others company. It was the most amazing weekend.
We got home on Saturday so we wouldn't miss Father's Day. I just have to say, that Steve is a great dad! In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined that he would be such a good dad, we had a rocky start but he has more than redeemed himself as a husband and a father and I am so lucky to have him!
Friday night was the premier of Sex and The City. I loved the series so I was so excited to see the movie. I meet up with some girl friends for a premier party in Ogden. It was so much fun, in fact I loved the movie so much I went again on Sunday with my mother in law. Nothing better than girlfriends, cosmos, and a movie.
I have been so blessed to work with some really great ladies who have become very dear friends. The blonde is Alicia she used to work with me and I just love her to death. She truly is the sweetest person in the whole world. The black/red head is Stacey whom I just adore. We are completely different but we get a long so well...
