It was another race week! Steve, his daughter Madison, her friend Kortney and my sister Megan all ran the half marathon. We started off the weekend with a huge carb dinner on Friday night. Then it was up bright and early to drop the runners off in Eden.
I came home and got my brother in law Jon and the girls and we headed up to Ogden to wait at the finish line. Salem and Olivia got cow bells to cheer on the runners.
A few years ago Steve ran the Moab half with his oldest daughter Jessica. This was Madison's first race and she was determined to beat her sister's time. Maddie and Steve crossed the finish line in 2 hours 1 minute. Maddie complished her goal by about 11 minutes. I'm so proud of her she did awesome!!
Megan finished in 2 hours and 2 minutes. Kortney finished in 2 hours and 4 mintues (Sorry Kort I didn't get your picture) This was Meg, Kort, and Maddie's first offical race. They all did amazing!!
We all did a little celebrating at the finish line. This is Megan, her husband Jon and their daughter Olivia.
My hubby and Madison...I love them both and I am so proud of them It was really awesome to be there with her for this.
Madison and Kortney...what an awesome experience to share as friends!
The racers....your guys did a wonderful job!

Channy, thank you. You made the whole trip so pleasant. From dinner to entertainment to rides to the race. You are the hostess with the mostess.. We had a great time.
Good job! I wish I was that motivated, but maybe after boot camp I will be! :)
More cow bell!!! Congrats all around. I think it's awesome that anyone can run that far voluntarily. I wanted to be there too, to see Darren finish but we were giving my mother-in-law her mother's day present - a day of yard work.
